I'll update this thread if I have any further issues. Spiders make a slimy crawling sound once they spawn. Large horned skulls make a low-pitch laughing sound that gets louder. The game offers positional audio and some enemies make distinct noises that can alert you to their position. Well, I just set Threaded Optimization back to its default value (Global Setting: Auto), and the game looks to be playing at a locked 300 fps now. Hold down left mouse button to fire a never-ending stream of daggers, like a machine gun. After Windows updated itself, I started seeing higher framerates again in the 200s, but dipped severely during gameplay as I mentioned above. During that time, I messed with a bunch of other settings, including Threaded Optimization in the Nvidia Control Panel. Like the name suggests, simply aim at the swarm and rapidly move your mouse from side to side while holding down left click. When you spread the daggers out by steam shaking, you basically create a thin wall of daggers that kills almost all SKULLs in its way. A little background: when I first played the game (before any Windows Updates managed to install), it wouldn't go a bove 60-80 frames per second. The daggers comming after those first few fly into the void without hitting anything. I've tried disabling SMT, setting the game's affinity in the Task Manager to be on unused cores, and downloading the Ryzen optimized power plan. Devil Daggers is still being updated, with. Armed with versatile magic daggers and a fluid movement system, fight to survive as. I've seen as low as 30 fps when the game starts to get really crazy.ĭoes anyone else running a Ryzen CPU have issues with this game? Or is it an issue with my rig only? The current best run is 872.4143 seconds, a little over 14 and a half minutes, and was achieved by player Sojk a couple days ago (watch it above). Devil Daggers is a fast-paced shooter that places you in an abyssal arena to face endless legions of demons. As soon as I start shooting, the framerate starts to dip down. It is a game that should be well over 200+ frames per second (it was on my old i7-980X), but on this Ryzen machine it's just awful. Devil Daggers, one of my favorite games, runs really badly. The devilish mash-up of Doom and Geometry Wars has players running for their lives on a small chunk of real-estate floating in an infinite black void. Just finished my Ryzen build (in my signature in case any of it is relevant), and actually ended up pretty disappointed.
