Croix is a fairly mountainous island with views of the harbor from the hills, a potential mountain/jungle view from your Air Bnb and hikes you can do that take you along the coastline. Though I can’t say what it would be like during the middle of rainy season. So it wasn’t that all-day rain, it was more of an afternoon or morning shower, then the sun would come out again. The good part about it though was that it cooled it off when we were doing some hikes and then didn’t really stick around. We ended up going in May and did encounter some rain. You’re more likely to encounter rain during hurricane season which is May-November, but December-April is peak season. The great thing about these islands is that there isn’t a huge change between seasons, temperature wise. Croix you have Buck Island Reef (National Monument), Christiansted (National Historic Site) and Salt River Bay (National Historic Park and Ecological Preserve). George Botanical Gardens joined us for lunch and introduced us to Chris Richardson, Co-Owner of this incredible Adults-Only Resort in historic Frederiksted. One of the restaurants that she likes is Sand Castle on the Beach, her friend Amy (who knows everyone on the island) and is the Director of the St. She’s also a foodie and she introduced me to so many good eats on the island, fresh fruits and veggies, it was so awesome. My friend Candy is a Culture Queen! Yea, She loves to travel, loves nature, and has met a ton of people while she’s been living on the island. This month I had the most amazing trip to St.
